A Home Void of Love What is a home that's void of love? It is the child that never speaks For no one listens to a word Missing is care, hugs and kissing. It is the child that never speaks A face without reason to smile Missing is care, hugs and kissing A lonely heart that never sings. A face without reason to smile It's a fear that is ever near A lonely heart that never sings Would love to dance, but has no chance. It's a fear that is ever near A cold, aggressive ambience Would love to dance, but has no chance Often are the tears that silently fall. A cold, aggressive ambience For no one listens to a word Often are the tears that silently fall What is a home that's void of love? 4th June 2022

Belle, there are children like this!! A really touching write, in a world with their heads in matters, totally trite! And we poets?? Grown children loving it seems to me in a world headed for destruction. Children have undergone psychological abuse in an obtuse world. The horrors they see, parents with devices glued to their faces. And there are homes with big hearts. God bless them! Huggs, Panagiota xx

Pangie I’ve known children suffer like this, mainly in the past, you hear things from children at school, I remember a girl about seven years old telling me her dad had tried to kill her mother, the parents did split up fortunately and the girl grew into a wonderful adult. It’s just so sad… Hugs in return to you, Belle

Many children raised like this over come however; not without great difficulty. They struggle through life and if they are lucky they meet someone kind and loving who takes them under their wing and teaches them their worth.
