A Hognose Snake Was In My Bed
A hognose snake was in my bed.
I might have been scared except she was dead.
The dog turned her over and promptly said
I always thought their nose was red.
I put in on a stick for a little walk.
It was stolen quickly by an eagle hawk.
I wrote the story using pink chalk.
My husband said, in a tiny squawk,
“I did not know our dog could talk.”
