A Higher Grave

Take my life away from me, No more false self empathy, Take my breath, and integrity, Take this world from my eye, Remove all which makes me cry, Show me a reason not to die, Take this pain from my brain, Show me what it's like to feel sane, Help me hang out in the rain, Tell me please, never again, That ending suffering is a sin, If you do, you've never been forced against the wind, Bring me out into the cold, Leave me rot, as I was told, Fear of living alone and old, I swore I would never be, Strong enough to see the world from how you see, Hang me high up in a tree, Take away my pain and self sympathy, Can you tell me now you're proud, Begging to be a part of your crowd, Push me down beneith the branch, and watch the crows in the cloud, Watch me dangle, don't save your breath, because my necks about to snap, No more painful mind set in a racing lap, Listen to the lovely sound, Hear my last heartbeat pound, If you love me cut me down, Tell me I was good enough to be found, Time is short, but so is pain, Until it builds up and eats your brain, If you cared, you'd let me be, So my heart won't continue to rot inside me, Would you rather watch me rot, Love is never to be forgot, But if you ever had a heart ache, Know just how long the repairs take, Until the ache hasn't gotten enough strength, Nothing left but to let it break, Thank you for showing me, There's more to life than empathy, Love was never meant for me, Only painful memories,
