A Hidden Treasure

My life was once awoke
By a deeply hidden talent
Of this I’d never spoken
I though it far to gallant
For someone such as myself
Less than perfect learning
I should be stacking a shelf
Not listening to this yearning

But the words flow so freely
I can express my inner side
I can say these things to really
And nothing I have to hide
Rhymes and words spring to life
On my blank white page
Cutting barriers like a knife
I will conjure like a mage

The poems let me touch a part
Of my soul I never knew
Pulling strings of my heart
Revealing feeling very true
Feelings and words flow together
Now ink and love entwine
These are now bound forever
Forever they will be mine.
