A Here That Could Not Be

A Here That Could Not Be ____________________________ It feels like I’ve been waiting, for a here that could not be, only what I observe and see, it just did not occur to me, that we aren’t really ever free, that we are slaves to thoughts and all our worries free. One never appreciates the present, until it becomes their past, the light at all our ends, now really seems to fast. If I knew of all this then, yet more instead of now, I have this strange suspicion, that i’de still be here somehow. I never really loved, but if an us there could not be, would only make your smile, so bright it is to me. Don’t take this as I say, so warm but suddenly, I’ll tell you as I lay dying, that we should’ve been you and me...

Often love is unrequited because neither makes the move. "One never appreciates the present, until it becomes their past, " So true! So very true! Wow!
