A helpless dream

There was a battle within me A silent war amidst my own people the reason for which I could never understand. In this conflict I was fighting with myself driven by an intense longing for something. Suddenly everything fades away the fog lifts and I see you in my dreams. Even in that dream I lose you somewhere. When I couldn’t bear the pain of this loss I woke up from my dream Only to remember that you are unattainable even in my dreams. I wish for you in the dreams within my dreams But you are so precious and unique that even there you remain beyond my reach. I feel helpless just thinking of you. I am so unlucky that whatever I touch whatever I desire never becomes mine.
