A Helping Hand

A tornado can ruin homes Destroy a whole complete town, People there come together None are seen with a frown. A hurricane comes along Not one business it didnt touch, Yet again all comes together Anger, resentment you dont see much. A family member strays away Chaos for everyone now there, Nobody comes together now Its like we just dont care. Where did things go so wrong When familys have lost love, No longer cared about feelings Nor went beyond and above. How have we forgotten What made us who we are, That without family suport We'd never gotten this far. So perhpas its simple Practice just as we preach, Rather than to strangers Make it family which to reach. Bring back old standards Listen for once to the man above, Rekindle those family values By giving hugs and true love.
