A Helping Hand
There comes in life, terrible times
when we are caught in common crimes,
not that we can't afford to drop a dime,
but we are blind to the beauty in... birdlime.
There are poor elders, starving and dying:
so many children, craving and crying.
When will we stop sleeping and spying
and keep the flag of faith and affection
flying?
It's time to honestly lend helping hands,
let's lift the helpless from...lonesome lands.
You are better of, do you understand?
Join the Blessed-to-bless-others band.
I can't sit here and expect a cheap change,
the woes I see around me are so strange:
Shattered dreams, talents displaced,
deranged,
let's keep rescue within our radar's range.
What is the use of those mighty mansions?
A future engineer needs to pump his
passion;
posterity yearns... for our rescue mission,
save their soul from the cot of confusion.
True Love starts the day we choose to live
to grace the world by the worth we give,
love is lost when we forget to forgive...
When needs arise, let us not be naive.
