A Hellish Halloween Night

On this creepy Halloween night I was mauled in a hellish fight My bloody neck filled me with fright A vampire's bite A vampire's bite Gruesome ghosts floated in midair Their ghoulishness gave me a scare Trembling with fear and words of swear I cursed a pair I cursed a pair A full moon appeared in the sky Signaling that soon I would die I heard howling very close by A werewolf's cry A werewolf's cry Was bitten by a rabid bat My eyes clawed by a screeching cat Thrown in a witch's brewing vat And that was that And that was that

Oh dear, not a happy ending Jenna, you should have carried some garlic on the night lol. Loved that form how it rolls off the tongue and bounces along. Tom

Ha, Tom. Garlic to fend off one of those nasty creatures, but not the others. I hope Witchy gets sick if she eats the stew in which she threw me. I'm so glad you like the Monotetra form. Thank you. Give it a go.

Your were certainly on a bad run of luck Jenna, scared, bitten, cooked alive, and eaten, all that said your poem is very polished and classy, as in rhyme perfect and delivery spot on, absolutely brilliant one for the Halloween contest, cheers David

No kidding, Milt. How can one human fight off vampires, ghosts, a werewolf and a rabid bat? Can't be done, so I had to succumb to the wicked wiles of a witch. Thrown in her brew with who knows what? LOL I loved writing this one. Thanks an awful lot for liking this monotetra. It's a fun form with monorhyme constrictions. Just read your poem about the cemetery and enjoyed it.
