A Heavenly Spring Day
My front porch is my throne today
as I rest in my swing.
The birds and squirrels are at play.
My wind chimes softly sing.
Green grass and my grand ancient trees
have moved my pen to write
of them, of drifting clouds that please,
and butterflies in flight.
Spring’s fragrant blooms engage my muse,
along with bees and birds.
Last lines appear, all due to views
that summoned forth the words.
