A Heartfelt Surrender

What was I trying to do,
In that moment,
I'd spoken to you?
What did I really want?
What did I hold,
Within my heart?

She was not,
My deepest thought,
Yet,
I'd let her come along;
She, and any deed I've done,
Has become far gone.

Yes sometimes the thought of another can interfere with totally being with the person you are with. So maybe the deed is not as far gone as professed. Much to ponder in just a short piece.
