A Heart That Longs For You

I have not been good to my heart
Indeed it desires love
To banish my pain
I request your affection
Being only friends has come to my attention
Curse me for wanting more
Can it ever be different
Is it possible for me to change your mind
I hope that it will in time
I want to be yours
How do I open these locked doors
I intend to be good to you
Look to me when your feeling blue
If only I were your special someone
My heartache would be undone
Though I am alone
In my dreams we always share a loving embrace
Oh how I long to caress your beautiful face
I have always wished we could kiss
To you my feelings I must show
Or forever this lonesomeness I will know

Aaron, I can honestly say I have passed through that experience, it is a sad and longing feeling to keep up thru charades. In my path the only thing that followed was a wrong choice that lead to a bad mistake. I should have kept to my heart and not asked my friend if he ever felt we should be more than friends.. LOL,, When we had each other in our arms, every feeling was gone.. Now I long for my friend again, Sorry! For sharing truly enjoyed your poem,..LeeAnn
