A Heart Still Beats

I see, you don’t know I know you won’t try I try and let go I know I can’t fly I feel, you’re enraged Enraged that I feel You feel, I’m estranged With intentions, ill Your own flesh and blood Blood from your flesh I stand where you stood But you did it best My mother’s child The child, I mother Twice, defiled But, we 3 are lovers We strayed from your womb Your womb left us stray You never made room Or a comfortable stay We are who we are We’ll be who we’ll be Beneath the scar A heart still beats
