A Heart Of Love Or Stone
We can and will get angry, in this life you see,
let not the sun go down, on the wrath of you and me.
We all get mad, just don’t speak those words that kill,
nor speak those words, that from another’s peace, you steal.
Don’t go to bed angry, for it’s roots will surely grow,
and from you, your peace of heart will go.
Treating others as you want to be treated, you see,
is putting to the test, the love in you and me.
It’s not easy returning love, when someone is feeding you death,
and yet there is power of death and life, in our very breath.
From the abundance of our heart, the tongue begins to speak,
our very words we say, shows just what we seek.
And by those words we speak, we are also known,
by our actions, shows a heart of love, or stone.
