A Heart of Gold

A heart of gold once turned to stone, Her love so deep yet she sits alone. Alone in her thoughts there’s still a fear, Fear of rejection as she sheds a tear. She lays awake most of the night, It’s all her emotions she holds tight. Sharing them means being real, Her heart is not an easy steal. She gave her heart few times before, Now she’s scared to open that door. At times like this she just asks why, Is this the way to say goodbye? Her love for him is deep and true, Her love so strong it feels so new. A new emotion she just can’t hide, She feels it all from deep inside.
