A Heart of a Champion
Sometimes people only consider people a champion
When their team wins or they win an event
But that’s not all of what makes a champion
It’s when they do something for the right reason and set an example
And whenever that happens their hearts are sure to follow.
Now there’s only a few people with a heart of a champion
Because most are so competitive and want to win
And here’s a perfect example of someone with a heart of a champion
It’s when a person thinks they might stand a chance to win
But they give up that chance to let someone else shine.
Another example of someone with a heart of a champion
Is when someone who doesn’t finish at the top or win
They are just as happy coming in second place or worse
Because they put forth the effort and at least tried
So do you consider yourself to have a heart of a champion?
