A Haunted Green Sea

I am haunted by a sea of green eyes
A whole people fleeing the terror of death dropping skies
I'm hating the government and their murderous lies
These people want only to live safely in peace
When will this horrific and senseless war cease?
At least let's have the humanity to help these men flee
With their women and children to reach some safety
For tomorrow in their place could be you or me
And I'd like to know that there's people who see
That war is not made by the wee man who just wants a good life 
But the corporate killers with their greed and their strife
I hope and I pray that these people some day
Can return as they wish to those mountains and skies
And that love ,joy ,and laughter can return to those eyes.

To the refugees at Grande Synthe, Dunkirk
and all those fleeing from dreadful deeds.
