A Hard Day's Work
Slaving for a master
that shouldn't be yours
Doing your best for your family
I see your struggles
I see you pain
Don't think I don't
We look fo different futures
You look to be the best husband
I look to be the best wife
These involve giving our all for each other
As the story goes
You come home
and I have food waiting
Yet I can offer you much more
I offer you a smile as you walk in the door
I offer you a hello kiss
I offer you a warm embrace
to break the tension of the day
And I long for the same
Able to break the fears and tears
I can offer so much more
I know the days are hard
It's my job to make them easier
I send you a picture to make you smile
I send an "I love you" to warm your heart
To remind you what you're doing is not in vain
I appreciate what you do
I try my hardest
Please don't forget
and allow me to be there
