on the rocks

             a heap of clothes

               splashing water

I sorta judge as I go along ... ;) Having read quite a lot of haiku over the years, I've become attuned to what sticks out the most to me ... lol. LOVE haiku :)

Congrats Paul! You're perfect for this form ... simplicity, subtlety ... and subtext! This is excellent, and very playful. I've written a haiku similar to this one with clothes being abandoned to go play in the water ... though it could go a sensual route as well (my personal preference) ... agreed with Connie below. The a-ha was definitely there.

I'm somewhat late in thanking you for my placement, Timothy; I'm being kept ultra busy!! I think I'll go for the sensual route, too:) ~ All the best...paul
