A Great Shock

Everything goes through a great shock, at one point
...you may be shocked to know
Like lightning through liquid
The enlightening of the troubled kid
Your whitening will turn to a glow

Finding the simple life and chasing our tails
No guide, person or penny in tow

Will the great lakes double take
Or the gasp of the heron heard?
Would it shock you...
...to know this world's absurd
How many losses
Firings by bosses
Even visits by Christ bearing your crosses
...well baby it's my third

Finding the simple life and chasing our tails
No guide, person or penny in tow

Everything goes through a great shock, at one point
Your whitening will turn to a glow
Like snow under sunrise
Clouds under red skies
O, when is life's next surprise

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
