A Grain of Sand

With love comes peace Bringing a prevailing sense of serenity With love comes soundness A voice from within guaranteeing your safety With love comes admiration Those little things touching your soul ever so deeply With love comes wholesomeness You can feel the merriment in every inch of your body With love comes warmth A welcoming feeling that inquires, ‘Are you ready?’ However, with love comes discomfort The past wounds, not letting your mind free With love comes apprehension Will it end tomorrow or last for an eternity? With love comes fear Is it finding home? Or is it just another refugee? With love comes disappointment When your longings and expectations are shattered repeatedly With love comes rage Warning yourself to hold back; all to guard your sanity With love comes risk You might lose yourself again or get to live your fantasy Love comes as a bunch of tangled wires Now, the question is, who’s worth untangling them for?
