A Gospel Song
Verse
Lord of faith, You guide us with the divine glare
across the desert of gloom to the joyous oasis
to reside in the abode of serenity in your care.
Lord of love, You suffered for us to the core,
for, the burden of the cross You carried with grace.
You give fortitude that in our pained minds we store.
Lord of joy, in our life’s dark nights brightly You glow
like the omnipresent unfading pole star.
The discovery of the sanctified soul to You we owe.
Lord of hope, from the tormented heart
surges the torrent of tolerance, for with vigor we bear
the agony of life from the strength You impart.
Chorus
O, Lord, hold us in your divine arms when we depart,
show us the light to go through the dark alley of strife.
The humble words of faith flow from our heart.
Give us the strength to endure the pangs of distressed life.
Verse
In the tranquil meadow gleaming with ethereal bliss,
You glow in our unguided life like the pole star,
so, we travel in your beautiful world in peace.
You escort us across the rough sea
through the dark night in thunderous tempest
to the gleamed horizon at the end of our journey.
You hold us in Your benevolent arms benignly holy,
and when the time comes for us to cross the last stretch,
You show us the beacon to reach the eternity safely.
Chorus
O, Lord, hold us in your divine arms when we depart,
show us the light to go through the dark alley of strife.
The humble words of faith flow from our heart.
Give us the strength to endure the pangs of distressed life.
