A Good Impression?

There were many ways in which I could have said
the silly scrambled words inside my head,
there were many feelings, deep within my heart
I'd hoped, would have been easier to impart,
but, my brain would not allow me to reveal
the strong emotions that I still conceal,
and so, this is my lot,( now you are gone,)
to suffer the regrets, and in the dark alone,
remember that wasted moment just outside my door,
when you asked if I had coffee, and I said I wasn't sure!
