A Good Day
Smiles abound
from ear to ear
sunshine comes out
love all around and so near
it's a good to be alive day
when things just seem to come together again
and my footsteps have a bounce
that I remember when I walked with a friend
the azure skies are free from white billows
and a calm embraces my spirit at last
I am enjoying walking by the sea shore
and stop every so often to find a smooth stone
to toss over the water
and watch it skip and make ripples when it comes to rest
it is this day
it is this moment
that I truly feel blest.
