A Glimpse Inside My Mind

Im going to give you a glimpse inside my mind
I would like to think that i am one of a kind
I grew up in a religious household
Always doing what i was told
I followed the rules the best that i could
Prayed to god and tried to be good
We didnt have much we were actually poor
No matter how much i tried i always wanted more
My mom and dad came off as holier than now
It was all a lie and now i know how
On the surface they were Clean and proper
Under the looks was a total shocker
Dad was a sex addict and my mom would tell lies
They had no clue it was ruining our lives
My parents eventually got a divorce
For this they showed no remorse
It really messed me up and the way i think
I started the think that life really stinks
In my teenage years i started to rebel
Fighting alot and telling people to go to hell
I started to drink and do alot of drugs
There was no more love not even a hug
I hope that i am one of a kind
Well there you go theres a glimpse inside my mind
