A Glimpse Behind
The Veil
Sitting on the edge
Of humanities tomorrows
Deploying weapons of
Warfare that banish sorrows
Searching for land mines hidden
As deep reminders of past failures
Disarming their explosive content
Of captivity, giving all closure
Repairing damages to the
Fabric that warriors wear
Battle has shredded its
Emotional threads with tares
Blue eyes are the seas quenching
The raging fires removing the smoke
Kindness rides in on wings of love
Peace appears as promising rainbow doves
Finesse and poise arise with divine grace
Signifying that America has kept her pace
Wisdom born through the sacrifice of time
Harmony is the gatekeeper of rhythm and rhyme
Unity
Holds the hourglass
Of time in place
One who ventures
Away to chaos is defaced
