A Girls' Best Friend

The toughest lattice of carbon crystals known to man, born deep in the mantle of our planet a billion years past, having endured untold heat and pressure, is thrust from the depths at the cracking of her crust and borne aloft on the magma tossed high by a volcanic eruption. What a Gem .
