A Girl and Her Red Parasol
On sandy beach enjoyed have I september light.
When all at once a parasol and under it,
A joyous girl, reflected back my heart's delight.
Such cheerful tones they did on everyone emit,
That out of blue a smile would make a visit to,
Ones cheeks and heart. All joy of world they did transmit.
»A-hop-a-dop«: she's sang around : »a-tree-lee-loo«,
While parasol was dancing like frog on top,
Now up and down then jump restarts whole dance anew.
I found my lips were whistling and they couldn't stop,
Red heart of mine was drumming rhythms of exult,
While legs asked: » Please could we go there on beach and hop?«
»Thank you little lassie for wonderful result!«
I yelled to little girl inside my open heart,
Sincerely as one can when he is an adult.
But when I looked to thank to girl for wondrous art,
She was not there. All I could see was Lady blue,
Was I so gay as not to tell those two apart?
