A Gilded Staircase

Misconception of rooms,
assumptions-
appear desolate,
yet full of mystery.

Seen through eyes,
perception or deception.

Lustrous dreams,
dreary reality,
hidden.

A gilded staircase.

Brimming with hope,
glimmer of despair.

Gilded staircase,
foundation made,
hope on the side-

A Cellar Door.
