A Gift Folks Keep On Giving

I am popular at holiday time
    a gift folks keep on giving
  So many varieties and colors of me
    stores stock me to make a living

  Once cigars were real competition
    though today they face fierce opposition
  I'm the last-minute gift that hits the spot
    My lot's everlasting ~ tied up in my knot
