A Gift

The sand beneath my toes glistens brightly with hope As the crisp cool air gently kisses my cheek The wind softly lulls an enchanting tune The lull of the waves encaptures my soul I clutch in my palm A tiny token of life A gift from nature Pure innocent and white It needs no other No touch no sound A pearl so delicate and perfectly round.

This is a gem of a poem Lynn, it is a gem of a gift in poetic form that you lay before us. As always, your gentle words can make the heart sing. Your words sing into the mind painting a most beautiful canvas . You are the pearl and your beautiful piece is a most creative jewel. Sing on Lynn, it is an honour and a pleasure to read your work. This has to be a seven and a fave. Hugs....Mike. XX

A pearl is a lovely gift, Lynn...so is this poem! Where imagery is concerned, the two introductory couplets are truly beautiful. As a reader I envy the author who stands barefooted on that beach! #7 Regards // paul

This poem is simple yet beautiful! I really love how it captures a moment with full feeling and little amounts of explanation. I appriciate poems that are short, but have so much to them. I really enjoyed reading this poem. Pure art! Keep writing more, John :)
