A Giant Snow Crocus

They pop up once a year
After all the others are gone
Usually after the first storm
In the field behind the barn
Strange as this may sound
This year was a big 3 feet dump
I found a giant one had grown on my rump
Outta nowhere they come up fast
Butt real, it was groing from my rear
Growing up my back brushing up against my arm
A big Snow Crocus smile surprised me from behind
My head spun oh what fun
Yet when I looked around me everywhere
Not one was on the ground
Wait, the ground was just my bed

I squeaked
Then it pinched me on the cheek
The crocus monster was just fuzzy Uncle Fred
