A Ghostly Visitation Appeared

The desert offered nothing but pain, but he traveled through it just the same, the heat was too much to take, that was no mistake, as the wind had come up even stronger, making it through was going to take a bit longer, blowing grains of sand like small razor blades, cutting on command, as he looked for any type of shade, his breath thin, and the elements eating away at his exposed skin, he looked up and he swore, the sun was swaying in the wind, as he felt his ankle swell and his feet were sore, his body simply wanted to just shut down, and his heart skipping, and missing a pound, his breath coming hard, a ghostly visitation appeared, and he simply lost his guard, but it was an angel to help wash away his fear, as he fell to his knees, God did hear his plea, taking deep breaths choked with dust, he wasn’t afraid anymore, because in God he placed all his trust.

This seems different than your other poems. I usually like them all and this is no exception, Laurie
