A Generous Benefactress

Sally was a generous benefactress.
She spent her life giving away money like this.
She gave her wealth.
She gave herself.
Patron with attributes of wonderfulness.

I try to be generous is different ways, sometimes with my time, with lessons in languages, in art, and sometimes in money. I get a good feeling by being of help to others. Many people wouldn't lift a finger to help anyone. How do they live with themselves? Enjoyed your limerick about Sally. Best to you. / M

Thank you so much. I do see such a contrast. The ones with the least often give the most of their time, which is what we need more than anything else quite often.

There are so many ways to give without giving moneyyet, many people believe that's all they can give. Beautifully penned.

Thank you M.L. I just want everyone's time. That's what we need for the little ones, so they can learn to read.

Thank you Kim. My mother is a professional volunteer. At age 87 she is still volunteering so many hours a week,it seems crazy to others. She is always saying "Got to go feed the old people." She has exercize classes, is a bingo caller, delivers Meals on Wheels, delivers packages and mail daily, and does about a zillion things a week for her church. She also knits layettes for the hospital newborns.
