Notes About The Poem

Written - 2nd April 2025

A Garden Party

 Colourful fairy lights are glittering 
There’s a feeling of magic in the air 
Tonight we’re having a garden party
All friends and family are to be there.

Food’s cooking outside on the barbecue 
Glasses out and wine ready to pour
And the weather is pleasantly balmy 
Who could ask or wish for anything more.

No doubt there will singing and dancing
Beneath the moon and the stars on high
Memories made to last us forever
As the years steadily go passing by.

Excited guests are slowly arriving 
Greeting one another warmly with love
For sure it’s going to be a rave up
I’ve secretly hidden the boxing gloves.
