A Garden of Beauty

A garden of beauty, your faces show,
your beauty among the hay scarecrow.
All the flowers smell so fruity,
Your faces show, a garden of beauty.

The summer is hot and steamy,
these colorful flowers are so dreamy.
Each flower has its own personal color,
worth much more than a dollar.

I love to walk this path,
I can watch the birds take a bath.
Birds singing sweetly,
now I know why I must come weekly.

Flower faces of blue,
I think I will pick you.
So many beautiful colors,
a garden place for many summers.

Your line about watching the birds take a bath really strikes me, as it's something I've never thought of doing. I'm trying to imagine it: Do they shake the water off their bodies, like dogs do? Or do the droplets just run off of them? -- Teflon birds, so to speak. Thanks for awakening my imagination, Paula! Warm (but not too hot!) summer wishes, Gershon

Thanks for your note. Yes, the birds shake the water off their bodies. It is fun to watch them. Years ago I had a birdbath and I loved to watch them. You can buy them or make one. It is something not too deep on a stand. Check on the web to see what they look like. Have a great day...........
