A Game of Souls

"Let's play a game,
I'm bored", said He to him
"Ok", replied the other.
"Select one of my faithful followers,
Try him in every way possible
But do not take his life.
Do all you can to make him denounce me.
If he wavers in the faith,
You can have him"
"Oh no!", said he, "I'm not falling
For that same trick again!
My pride still hurts from losing
Out the last time!"
After a while, he said to Him
"This is what I propose:
Take one of mine and implore
Him to repent and
Be redeemed. If you fail,
Then he is mine for eternity!"
After a moment, He replied:
"Deal! Let the game begin!"
