A Futuristic Christmas

A decade from now, Santa will be a robot
Instead of bringing toys, he would be online
Checking gift-lists kids could only retrieve;
Through a swooshing remote-controlled jet plane.
And mind you, forget the Christmas tree
Because a clone of R2D2 will act as a tall pine,
With mechanical decor from Twilight Zone.
No need for a dinner feast come Yuletide,
One pop of a pill, and all the dishes are in there.
If you wish to hear mass, just click the latest X-box
And participate through interactive singing;
Will these be 4-D experiences without the fuss
Of running around to stress away, be naughty or nice?
I want to know because I'd rather not be around!
