A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To Work
A funny thing happened on my way to work
I decided to stop for my favorite coffee perk
The sun was bright and blocking my view
I blinked and sneezed and before I knew
Kaboom, I rear ended a sheriff’s van
On impact the door opened, prisoners ran
To my relief most fled out of sight
But one stayed back and what a fright
A grimacing smile and rotted teeth
But I recognized him, it was my nephew Keith
He knew it was me but still wanted to flee
But I told him no, he could get killed and never plea
He turned himself in and willingly went back on the van
because of me his sentence had a shortened span
I was very late for work, and with no coffee in hand
My boss didn’t understand, it really wasn’t my plan
