A Funny Man
Entered in Carolyn Devonshire's"New years Resolution"contest.
My uncle Curly made his New Years Resolution.
Everything he did and said was always funny.
He went through life eating boiled eggs, honey.
When he finally got out of the mental institution.
Took him fishing one day and he dressed as a fish.
We all got hungry so we sat down for lunch.
The next thing we knew we heard a loud crunch.
Uncle Curly pulled out of his pocket his favorite dish.
Why they called him Curly we'll never know.
We laughed all of the time when he was around.
He said funny stuff and made a funny sound.
There was never any hair for him to show.
Once his resolution was made his life would change.
Rather this made you happy or made you sad.
Remember he was the best uncle I ever had.
Now people won't think he's crazy or strange.
