A Friendship Apology
There's something I need to say
Please don't try and turn away
From me as I am explaining
Why my sadness started raining
Over you with a grey cloud
Thundering so very loud
From the pain brewing inside
My heart, even though I've tried
To make it ease up slowly
It kept creeping back on me
And my sadness lead me to
Take it out on my friend-- YOU
Please forgive me I was hurt
Seeing my new sweetheart flirt
With a girl who wasn't me
Leading to me instantly
Finding you so I could yell
At someone, I was in hell
Not knowing how much anger
Put our great friendship in danger
I am asking your forgiveness
My actions had led to this
I don't want to lose a friend
Who's been there time and again
