A Friend Indeed
Little fairy Fern
She had a broken wing
She couldn't fly up in the sky
Down came the swallow Steve
They were the very best of friends
They grew up in Utopia together
These two they were thick as thiefs
Where you saw one you saw the other
The morning of her accident
She had an important meeting
But the sky grew dark, the rain fell down
The raindrops sent her spinning
She tried to fight the water weight
It was to heavy to bear
She fell from the skies above
Leaving her broken in the middle of nowhere
Steve the swallow was intuative
He always felt her pain
So he put on his coat
Soon he was on his way
He found her by the old Burch tree
Hanging onto a limb
Frightened as she was
She climbed up on top of him
Soon they were off in flight
To take her where she needed to be
Fairy Fern kissed her friend upon his beak
For his gesture was so sweet
He knew that she needed to heal
Her fragile broken wing
He would be there until that day
His wings would now be hers
