A Fresh Start

Sometimes I wonder if life will ever change.
Same thing day upon day, though my life prearranged.
Waking up to that same old beat of the drum.
(OH HUM HUM)

Seems waiting for my purpose, never shows its face.
An ongoing timeless marathon,
continueing in last place.

Working for THE MAN,just keeps me so uptight.
Even rising out of slumber now,
seems an endless fight.

Discontentment plays a big part,in dealing with lifes terms.
Serenity and happiness,
are what this cowboy yearns.

So many missing pieces,on what my lifes about.
Cant figure out my feelings,
on whether pout or shout.

One thing I know for certain,is that I hold GOD in my heart.
And at the end of any given day,
he will allow me a fresh new start

Very inspirational and moving poem. I'm new here and being unsure on how things work, forgive me for making a suggestion or two. A few grammatical errors need fixing (lifes = life's, cant = can't) and you should always follow a comma with a space. I enjoyed this very much. Thanks for sharing and I apologize in advance if my critique of your grammar was not welcome. Tom
