A Frankenstein Party

“A Frankenstein party,” someone told me,
“will be at tea time. You must be rich
and have a pass to get into this party.”
They also said it helped to be a witch
or some kind of monster, so I assumed
I'd need a costume too, and then I thought
perhaps I could sneak in, for I am doomed
where riches are concerned! I went and got
the costume of a monster big and hairy.
Good thing inside the window I first peeked.
I would have looked the fool and not so scary
as what I saw inside there. Wow. I freaked!

I saw Big Pharma types and business guys,
well-known world leaders and celebrities.
Not one of them was wearing a disguise.
To see them had me shaking at the knees.
It’s surely true – no costumes did they need,
for monsters of the world they are indeed.

Light weight and entertaining lines that led to heavy slam! I love it. That last stanza is full of the steam we all need to express to be healthy. You go, girl. Love it - yes, I said it twice! Love ... CayCay

lol I love the creative juices that came out of you today Andrea, this is awesome. Winning wishes girl, as for the chakras, start by meditating on them one by one, and see where that leads, you, there is no one way, just your awakening , and learning every day,:)

Love it!! True, when you see the spirit of individuals, no matter the exterior finery -- Monsters they can indeed appear! I wear the same comfortable clothing, several sets (I do clean them often), holes, faded -- means nothing to me. Drives my wife crazy. She is very spiritual, but does not agree with my fashion sense. Some of us artist-types...go figure:)
