A Forgotten Melody

The lost love
still illuminates
this heart.

Memories
soar aloft
kindling
joyful eyes.

In the quiet of night,
it flickers like a lone star,
a distant beacon
in the vast expanse of longing.

Each memory a spark,
a radiant constellation
mapping the constancy
of what was, what is no more.

The tender touch, the whispered words,
they linger in the dark corners
of my soul,
like echoes of a forgotten melody.

And though time may have
woven new songs
of love and life,
that lost love
still illuminates
this heart.
