Papa used to tell me stories about Dragon Underhill, how the fiercesome beast used to dwell in a far off mountain home. Town elders still remember when Dragon took to flight, when Lords would hide away and tremble for their plight. Dragon did not take fair maidens nor precious gems and silver, he wanted only golden things: coins and bars and rings. They say the dragon died alone in its forgotten mountain home, They say the gold is hidden there and guarded by his bones. But I know different now because I found the secret trail, I found old Dragon Underhill still alive and hale. He says things are not the same in the valleys down below, they no longer care for dragons and so the stories go. Dragon says he’s lonely and would I care to stay for a bit of tea and crumpets~ now I visit every day!
