A Flurry of Winged Petals

Raindrops
fall like nymphs
darting and dodging
twittering
elfin echoes
in camouflage
dancing
on my face
skating
on my fingernails
like frozen ponds
glistening
in a flurry
of winged petals
balancing
on my eyelashes
like liquid orchids
poised
to flower
their laughter
muffled berries
yet to blossom
