A Fluff of Life

A fluff of life He sensed something on the window ledge it was an insect of the summer past its hue was grey totally exhausted it could not fly anymore. He took it inside. put it under the lamp slowly its colours appeared it moved dreamy wings, a residue of spring. He said I like to call you a rainbow. He left the light on when leaving the room The Rainbow had tried so hard. In the morning the battle was over a piece of fluff the draft from the open door blew away.
