"a Flower Taken Early"

As a teen it was hard for me to talk to pretty girls..
But you were the first to make me run in circles...
Your smile I shall not forget and your long blonde
hair as I sit and reflect...
Warm summer nights sitting on your steps...
Two teen's not knowing where we were going yet..
Songs from then I still listen too.. Makes me sad
that we lost touch as so many do..
You were the first to take my heart, although at
that age I was to scared to talk..
Now that God has taken you , Im sure there are
angels trying to get close to you..
I hope now you can see, how you helped a young
boy do more then just be...

RIP Joanmarie....

Michael, what a beautiful poem in memory of this young lady, its so heartfelt. You sound just like me when i was younger. I would run a mile from girls, straight onto the soccer pitch to play. Then i got braver and the rest is history >> James

Touching and beautifully penned Michael and I am sure the family will treasure your words written from your heart... these words will have a lasting impression of one who cared so for their loved one... be blessed Michael as u have blessed those left behind as your friend looks down while playing with the Angels u speak of in your poem..luv.. Is this the same as "A Flower Taken too Soon" that you mention in your blog, Michael? It's such a sad poem, but it shows how much you loved her. I can see why her parents gave you a hug. People appreciate it when others feel their loss. I had to check out the poem before commenting on your blog and I'm so glad I did. You SHOULD publish your work. Very moving. Much love and sympathy, Carolyn
