Notes About The Poem

A Flock of Crows

Over lambent plains
of blond wheat,
braided spikes
rustling
in flaxen breeze,
a flock of crows
seesaws
like obsidian scythes
in cider firmament
under harvest sun's afternoon eye.

Oh, my, the reader seats astounded, shaking his head. Cider firmament etc.! Seating, shaking his head.

As Jim S. noted, very 'evocative.' Might I add 'thought-provocative and even ingeniously concoct-ative (if I may borrow some license). Fine, fine poetry. ~ Gershon
